Download the app, create an account, sign in — ready in a few minutes.

2. Find friends and colleagues

Search by address, pick from your contacts, or share a link.

3. Write

Messages, photos, voice messages, groups — and what to do if someone bothers you.

Voice calls, end-to-end encrypted. Video calls are coming soon.

5. Settings & security

Language, sounds, confirming a second device, keeping your recovery key.

New in the app

What has arrived since September — each point is explained in one of the chapters above:

Family. One subscription for up to six people: whoever has the subscription invites up to five people, and a family room appears by itself. Family
Buy more places (version 0.8.6). More than five? More family places for 12 months each. Family
Closing attachments on the iPhone. An opened picture, video or document has an X at the top to close it (version 0.8.6). Writing
Profile pictures on Android too. A picture for you and one for a chat. Note: a profile picture is the only thing that is not encrypted — everyone in the chat can see it. Settings
Delete a chat. Swipe left in the list. The app asks first and tells you both things: the chat disappears from your device, and the other person sees that you have left. Writing
Chat background. Orbit pictures, calm gradients or your own picture from your phone — for all chats or for a single one (new with iPhone 0.8.8 and Android 0.9.0). Settings
Tour "What Orbit can do". A short tour with pictures, callable again any time (new with iPhone 0.8.8 and Android 0.9.0). Settings
How many attachments at once. You decide whether you can pick 10, 20 or 50 pictures at the same time. The setting stays on your device. Settings
Send the password e-mail again. If it does not arrive, one button is enough — the note about the spam folder is right next to it. Create an account
28 languages. The app speaks every official language of the European Union. Settings
