End User License Agreement (EULA)
Version of 2 August 2026. Applies to the “BlueOcean Orbit” application for Windows. Licensor: BOP BLUEOCEAN PRIVACY LTD, Larnaca, Republic of Cyprus.
This is a convenience translation. The German version prevails in case of discrepancy.
This agreement covers only the application on your computer. The service itself is additionally governed by the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
1. Right of use
For as long as your Orbit access exists, you receive a simple, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to install and run the application on the devices you use. No transfer of ownership takes place.
2. What you may not do
- sell, rent, lend or sublicense the application,
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, unless permitted by mandatory law,
- remove or alter copyright notices, trademarks or licence notices,
- modify the application so that it circumvents security or billing functions.
3. Access to microphone, camera, files and address book
The application can access the microphone, camera and local files — but only after your explicit approval in each case and only while you use the respective function. There is no covert recording. Recordings are transmitted to our server for processing and are not stored permanently there unless you save them yourself. You can revoke approvals at any time.
Address book: at your request, the app can read your address book to check which of your contacts already have an account. Only e-mail addresses are transmitted, only for the check; the server does not store them and does not pass them on. Without the operating-system permission and without your action the app never reads your address book.
4. Computing on your device (compute mesh)
The application can run parts of the AI computation on your own device instead of sending it to the server. This increases speed and improves privacy, because your input never leaves your device in the first place.
- This function is voluntary and can be switched off in the settings at any time.
- Computation is performed exclusively for yourself. Data of other customers is never processed on your device.
- The application runs at low priority, uses at most the share of computing power you have released, and pauses on battery power and under high system load. Your computer should not become noticeably slower.
- The application reports technical characteristics of your device to the server (processor cores, memory, graphics card, computing speed, operating state) so that tasks can be distributed sensibly. No content is transmitted in the process.
- You bear electricity costs and wear; under normal use these are negligible.
5. Updates
The application checks at start-up whether a newer version is available and informs you. Updates may fix errors, close security gaps and change or remove functions. Older versions may lose access after a reasonable transition period if interfaces change. We do not perform automatic installations without your consent.
6. Open source software
The application contains third-party open source components, including Qt for Python (PySide6) under LGPL v3. Those licences take precedence for those components; section 2 does not apply insofar as those licences grant broader rights. The full list is available at licence notices. On request we provide the information required to exercise the LGPL rights.
7. Warranty and liability
The application is provided in the version made available. We do not warrant that it runs without error on every combination of hardware and software. Otherwise the liability provision in section 10 of the Terms of Service applies accordingly.
8. Term
The right of use ends automatically when your Orbit access ends or upon material breach of this agreement. The application must then be uninstalled.
9. Governing law
The law of the Republic of Cyprus applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for merchants is Larnaca, Cyprus.
